Sooooo this is my half of a trade with ~Jaguar-1. This was SO much fun to do, and I really like how it turned out! Hello, muse, welcome back, lol!
I don't usually do heavy textures, but this one seemed really blank without it. And *night-fate-stock had some new textures I was DYING to use, so... yeah! Background blending was fun, too. :devSalsosaStock: kindly provided two lovely lake pictures that I blended to create one! I must say I'm quite pleased with it. And that horse! Again, :devSalsosaStock: provided excellent stock to work with. I repainted the mane because I wanted it to be longer - and while I'm not thrilled with the top part along the neck, I love how it turned out. And the feathers! I ADORE Clydesdales, and this one is gorgeous! Anywayyyy, here ya go, Jaggy! Anyways, I think you laid the texture on a bit too much. Perhaps lower the opacity just a tad, so it gives it the feeling it's there but not as heavy.
I say this because it draws my eye away from the gorgeous job you did on the horse. His feathers are beautiful, as well as his blending and his cutting, and the texture makes him something other than the object of the pic.
You did really well in picking the colors out on this one too. And I'm jealous of your text xD My text always looks awful or plain, but yours looks excellent.
May I ask what font you used for the cursive words? I can't find a good cursive font D:
Anyways...I think that's all the critique I have. You did really well over all with the pic, and the only thing that bugs me is the heaviness of the texture.

The texture I simply put on there because I thought it looked incomplete without it. I suppose it's a matter of opinion on how thickly the texture is put on, but now that you mention it, I do see what you mean. I'll keep that in mind next time I texture something!

The font is Vladimir Script. I'm glad that it turned out okay, text is one of my least favorite parts, and I always have problems with it!
